Špindlerův Mlýn is not only a centre of winter sports, but also a popular destination for cyclists. The surrounding mountains, valleys, and forest paths offer a wide range of routes for recreational riders as well as experienced bikers. Whether you prefer relaxed trips with the family or adrenaline in demanding terrain, Špindlerův Mlýn has a route ready just for you.
Route A – Medvědín a Labská bouda
This loop is ideal for families and intermediate cyclists. The route leads from Špindlerův Mlýn via Medvědín and Labská bouda and offers beautiful views of the Krkonoše ridges.
Route description
From the centre of Špindlerův Mlýn, you set off towards Medvědín, where you can use the cable car to save energy for the descent. The route then continues along forest roads towards Labská bouda, where you can stop and enjoy traditional mountain cuisine.
The route leads through meadows and forests, so you can enjoy panoramic views of Sněžka and Luční bouda. After a short break, you return to Špindlerův Mlýn; the route is a loop.
Tips for stops and refreshments
- Medvědín: restaurant and café at the cable car, snacks and drinks
- Labská bouda: traditional Krkonoše dishes, beer and soft drinks, place to rest
Route B – Horní Mísečky a Pančava
This loop combines nature, moderately demanding climbs, and attractive goals – Pančava Waterfall and Horní Mísečky.
Route description
The route starts in Špindlerův Mlýn and follows marked cycle paths to Horní Mísečky. Here you can have a meal and then continue along forest paths to Pančava Waterfall, one of the most picturesque spots in the Krkonoše Mountains.
The way back follows blue and green hiking trails connecting mountain meadows, forests, and scenic views of Sněžka. The entire loop is approximately 25 km with moderate elevation gain.

- Pančava: refreshment near the bus stop.
Route C – Svatý Petr a Luční bouda
This loop is designed for experienced cyclists. It offers tougher climbs and technical descents, but also stunning panoramic views.
Route description
The route starts in Špindlerův Mlýn and leads via Svatý Petr, where you can use the cable car or enjoy the descent along a mountain track. You then climb towards Luční bouda, a historic mountain chalet with a restaurant. The route continues along forest and mountain paths back to Špindlerův Mlýn.

Route D – Labská Dam and Krkonoše Cross-country Trail
The most demanding loop of the series, suitable for experienced cyclists looking for a long ride with beautiful views and mountain experiences.
Route description
From Špindlerův Mlýn, the route leads around Labská Dam and continues along the Krkonoše Cross-country Trail, with panoramic views of the ridges and mountains. The route includes both asphalt sections and forest and rocky paths suitable for mountain bikes. The way back leads across picturesque mountain meadows and forests to Špindlerův Mlýn.
