Sněžka (1,603 m / 5,259 ft), the highest mountain in the Czech Republic, is a popular destination for experienced hikers. One of the most scenic yet challenging routes starts from Špindlerův Mlýn at Medvědín. From there, you can take a bus to Špindlerova bouda and follow the Czech–Polish Friendship Trail. This panoramic trail passes above the Great and Small Pond (Velký a Malý Stav) and continues along the ridge to the summit of Sněžka.
